Pennsic 2008 (warning: Image heavy!)

So, Pennsic.

I know most of you will be skimming the play-by-play posts (seeing as there are so many), so I will attempt to distill my awesome week of Pennsic down to a fairly manageable size.

I'm making no promises, mind you.

(Some things will be left out, but they may pop up at disparate times throughout the next couple of weeks.)

"I spent some delightful times hanging out in the Vortex of Evil[TM]; by all accounts, my stuff even sold fairly well - very well for a first-timer, they tell me. I am just happy anything sold, and will be joining the Vo'E for Holiday Faire."

Great! I'll continue floggin the patterns at other events as well.

Tonight I'm doing the books, and I'll give you an accuate final number and also let you know what patterns are low - Katherine was the best-seller, I think.

Great party! I didn't get to stay too long for it but would definitely come again for next year's. I do have a suggestion for next year's party (if you wish). Scavenger hunt. (just think about the evil you could have with it...)

Oh, man. I really, really wish that there was some earthly (or divine) way that I could have been there. You totally rock.

So glad you had fun, so glad you're home, and YAY PICTURES! I really look forward to seeing and hearing more, you're starting to convince me this is something I might want to do. ;)

Thank you for hosting what really was an excellent party.

Jenthies on flickr put up some lovely pictures of it in case you missed those (or for anyone else that interested too. Some of the shots are blackmail worthy really funny.)

As for next year, rubber ducks in rum, hmm? How about some gummy bear vodka to go with that? One of my household mates made that this year and, if you had seltzer water to it, it tastes exactly like a simple fruit punch. The big different between gummy bear vodka and fruit punch is that after a few sips of the vodka everyone that has had some starts singing ~Gummy bears! bouncing here and there and everywhere!~ ....so should I bring some next time?

Oriental Trading has every tacky glow, flashing light, or sparkly thing one can possibly imagine. And for surprisingly reasonable prices, too.

And... they also have a fair assortment of blank, decorate-your-own stuff: paperweights, mugs, canvas bags, hats.... all sorts of silliness potential.

(Although once you get on their catalog mailing list, they really don't know when to stop....)

Okay, so I got through your pictures enough to see the Gardiners themed what-looks-like-a-gameboard. And I gotta ask, what is it? Besides an awesome piece of art.... :)

It's a custom painted Goose board I made for a friend almost 10 years ago. Goose is a ridiculously complicated, but fun board game.

*sigh* Our camp's dinner wasn't ready 'til 8 and my husband was not appropriately attired until 9:30 and by that time we had missed all the fun.

The pics are lovely and just make me *sigh* more!
