Welcome, new chicks!

The vulture chicks are born!

They were born yesterday, but I haven't been able to get a good photo yet - Mom sits on them and keeps them safe, and all I hear is hissing from under her wings.  The only reason I know they're hatched is the incredibly bad smell (it's a safety feature) and a fuzzy little butt poking out from under Mom's wing.

Pictures as soon as I can get them.

Yay! I am excited to hopefully see them. We have 4 robin's eggs on our porch right now that I am torn about, firstly I think it was a stupid place to put a nest, it's like setting out a cat buffet, they freak out and fly away every time we use the front door,(Paul has suggested we use the back door until they hatch) and I want to power wash and paint my porch - but I am also not going to intentionally destroy or move a nest, so they had better hatch and get on their way before the end of May because I HAVE to get my front porch ready to sell.
