I'll be your candle on the water...

I was catching up on the news, and a comment at Pandagon on the protests in Egypt gave me such a warm rush of happiness that I wanted to share it.

Apparently, according to the commenter who was watching the Rachael Maddow Show, the Christians in Tahrir Square were forming a human barricade around their Muslim co-protesters so they could pray in peace without being attacked, and when the Christian protesters wanted to pray a mass, the Muslims did the same.

Whether one believes in one religion or the other (or any, for that matter), the unity and care the protesters showed for each other gives me real hope for the world.  It's such a small thing, but sometimes, it is the small things that signify something great.
