Turn and face the changes...

So.  I'm home today with a little recurrence of migraine headache, thanks to the dentist appointments yesterday and Monday.  They banged on my teeth a lot, and though the actual tooth nerves are now gone, the outer nerves are still alive and well, and the one tooth has shoved its roots well into my sinus cavity, so hello, referred pain.  Thankfully, this should be the last of that.

On a side note, the dizziness and unsteadiness is almost entirely gone (I still get tired, just a lot less likely to fall over), and I'm now thinking it was the teeth, not my medication.  Funny thing, that, but it went away when the tooth pain and headaches went.  I'm not throwing away my cane yet, but I don't seem to need it, and that's just fine with me.

But that is not what this quick update is about!

I cut my hair.

It was (heck, still is!) breaking something awful after my foray into the world of blonde, so the breakage will be a lot less noticeable with the shorter, slightly layered hair.  It's also cute as hell, and I'm deeply, deeply in love with it.  The last time I had short hair was a bit before my wedding, so... 13 years ago.  The nice thing about hair is one can mess with it, and it will grow back.

This beats the hell out of having handfuls of broken hair clogging the drain, I can tell you.  I washed it for the first time today, and it's awesome.

I am so ready for England!  My teeth are done, my hair is cute, and I'm feeling (headache notwithstanding) great.

My life rocks.

I always love the feel of shorter hair, it immediately feels lighter, more volume, no longer boring and tired, but for the life of me I don't have a hairdresser I trust to come up with a coupe that suits me and allows me to keep doing up 19th century hair-do! You look fab!

Perky as all get out. You are going to take England by storm =)

That is very adorable!

I've always loved to have short hair, but think it makes me look too pudgy. On the other hand I have long hair but always wear it up in a pony because otherwise I'm too hot. So I guess it makes the same effect anyway. I might as well cut it all off.

You are so adorable. Looks GREAT!

Wow, what a change! But if you feel it was necessary, great! (just take some of us a bit of time to get used to...)

Glad things are looking up!

It is ABSOLUTELY as cute as hell :)

People have asked me repeatedly if I'd ever cut mine. I reply that with short hair, I look like Joan of Arc. You, however, are utterly adorable.

Don't count on the clear drain, though - short hair is just as much of a clogger. With multiple housemates with short cuts, I can say this is trufax, because I am always fishing their hair out of the shower :\

Oh my gosh you look stink'n cute! Sometimes it is soooo freeing to just cut your hair (it's amazing how attached we get to that stuff, and then when it's gone it feels awesome!)

Eep! A surprise! You look very cute, though, and I'm glad you're pleased with it.

The notion of cutting my hair TERRIFIES me, because I know it'd take 2-3 years to get back to looking the way I like it.

Great, you and Amy are coordinating hair styles now! Does this mean I need to grow out my beard and hair like Bob?

Very cute! Who did it?

Ulta hair salon. I got impatient, and didn't want to wait until Tuesday, so I went to Ulta, and the stylist (Jessica) was awesome. Hair massage with the shampoo, listened to what I wanted, didn't roll her eyes when I kept changing things on her - just great. :)

And it's really easy to style.

Very cute! I got mine cut two years ago and love it! It should be so much easier to take care of on your trip. I hope you all have a marvelous time!
