Fried brains on toast

Home because of the snow - liberal leave and all that jazz.

(Meaning that it was absolutely lethal outside at 5am this morning, even though it's ok now.)

So, I'm working on the stuff for University this weekend - of course, it's supposed to snow.  I'm going to be really pissed if no-one shows up - I've spent three weeks putting together all the handouts and stuff.

I've been printing out the handouts myself, since they have lots'a colour pictures, and taking them to Staples is tedious.  I've gone through three cartridges of ink, but they're Kodak, so two cartridges (one colour, one black) only cost me $24.  I love my printer/scanner.  I'm smart, and did the extras that people might want to buy as cds - cheaper than the handouts, and cheaper for me to make - and I've lovingly designed cd labels for them, so everything looks cool.

But I'm tired.  I'm stapling together the last of the handouts (five classes worth - it's an all-day thing), and I'm so glad my printer does two-sided printing.

I'm pretty fried.  That's my update.

Snow or no snow, I'll be reduced to pressing my face against my monitor and the Atlantian University schedule thereon in abject envy. ;-) But a 10-12 hour drive is probably just out of the question this weekend. *sigh*

Otherwise... I'd be in the front row. ;-)

Think of it this way. You've already done the work for offering those classes again for Juniversity in Tir-Y-Don. ;) This weekend snow is really cramping my style.

Sounds uber-cool, and I think the University attendees are (or are going to be) uber-lucky!
Give yourself a pat on the back and if you have some champagne, break it out.

I've loved it when only a few people come to my classes. It means that instead of a planned lecture I can get up close and have a real conversation and geek out with just a few people and we can get that fabulous gestalt going where everyone is sharing and learning.

Standing room only in a huge hall, however, is very good for my ego!

If, for some horrid reason University doesn't happen, I'll come over and take your classes. It'd be a cheerful bonus for me as I'd resigned myself to missing University three months ago cause it was so close to my work crazy.

CDs! That's brilliant. (A few teachers in Caid have done that for our Collegium and it's fabulous.) I'll wait until after University but I'll happily pay whatever you want to charge plus shipping for a copy.

Me too, please!

I am also anxiously awaiting my Patterns of Fashion 4 (two more days!), so next weekend I will be busy. I can't wait!
