Eep!

Wow.  I walk away from my computer for a few hours, and...wow.

I think that's a record for comments in my journal.  Well done.

Now I know what generates the most comments, I am going to craft a post to end all posts that includes diets, the SCA, asshats, and dieting SCA asshats.  I should break a million comments by the third day.

Awesome.

Anyway - I'm home sick today, and even though I am sick, I have much to do, and very little time to do it in, so kisses to all of you, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday (for the Americans), and a wonderful rest of the week (for everyone else).  I'm off to Jamestown tonight, and I'll be back on Monday.

Love to all, and to all a good... something.

Evil out!

dieting SCA asshats

That's why they're cranky - they're hungry.

So if we hand out panforte, good bread, and savory toasted cheese, all will be well?

I don't know about well, but we'll certainly all be stuffed handsomely.

Panforte...mmmmmm.

Drive safe. We leave at 11 tonight and should be there around 8am. Looking forward to this, I really need some village time. See you then.

Me too!
I am considering some more SCA list posts with controversial opinions like:
    1. You should wear garb at events.
    2. One must strive to never spit on the queen.
    3. Apologies are de rigueur if you fart loudly while addressing the court.
    4. Beating people is not the best way to encourage them to come to more events.
Those will get thousands of replies!

Re: Me too!
I think you should make that "one must strive to never vomit on the queen..."

"4. Beating people is not the best way to encourage them to come to more events."

But it sure gets them to court! ;-)

Wear garb to events? Really, that is asking too much!

Re: Me too!
The first piece of advice that was given to me when I received my writ for the Laurel was, and I quote:

"Don't throw up on the Queen's shoes."

Useful, no? ;)

Also, I tried to ask you this but it got highjacked - what sort of belt would one use to replace a ring belt? I tend to wear a lot of generic tunics and gowns for Pennsic and definitely need a belt of some sort, and I'd like to have something that would be practical and useful. I'm not an accessories expert and am usually pretty confused by the choices available.

Thank you in advance. I really appreciate it.

Re: Me too!
The same kind of belt, just with a buckle. Many merchants (like Historic Enterprises - they're on line, I'm just too lazy to get the link) sell buckle belts with a suitable buckle.

Well, when you ask in essence, "Is this what you guys really think of all my hard work?" of course you are going to get an overwhelming response; because if the asshat put any seed of doubt in your mind, it was up to us to eradicate it before it took root and grew like a poisonous bloom.

Now, to entertain you in your sickness, the greatest Thanksgiving "history lesson" of all time:

You picked a topic that everyone had an opinion about they were willing and eager to share, heh ;) Or you could make a post so mega brilliant that no one can think of a comment other than "Wow, that's good." ;) But then those comments aren't as entertaining to read.

I would laugh so much if you did. Even if you just posted it here for people to enjoy. ;)

Happy Turkey Day and have a good holiday!

I was talking to my hubby yesterday about all that, and he reminded me of this funny equation. It's not pc in the least, and definitely not for work, but damn funny. I think it might apply to the asshats out there at least just a teeny bit???
