eggs

xkcd has it right.

I love Cadbury's Creme Eggs. I buy many every year when they appear about three weeks before Lent (or in January, depending on where you shop, but those ones are a little stale by Easter), and slowly savour one of them every week or so until they run out, occasionally eating two in one day.

Now they have the mini ones, but they're not exactly the same. For one thing, you can't put them in an egg cup, crack off the top, and eat the filling out with a spoon...

I've said too much.

Me too. I haven't been able to eat Cadbury's eggs in years. Too sweet. (Although I used to love them)

I ate one for the first time last week and I couldn't finish it. Way too sweet and made my teeth hurt.

They freeze really well. And there is something quite indulgent about a cadbury egg in August...

This is totally relevant to my interests.

I worried that freezing them would somehow wreck the yummy center, but now I am going to buy a BUNCH and freeze them. Thanks for the tip!

urgh... you can have mine then too! I've never liked them (even as a kid that would eat anything sweet) ...

I run hot and cold on the Cadbury creme eggs. Every couple of years I might indulge in one or two during the Easter season, but then I don't feel an urge to have one for at least a year or two. Go figure.

Have you tried the chocolate ones?

I'm a fan of the classics. :) Bob likes the caramel ones, but I just love the yellow and white sticky stuff.

I've never been a big chocolate fanatic. Usually, I like caramel, but like I said, I just love the white fondant.

I haven't tried either of the other flavors, either. A couple of friends told me the chocolate ones are good, but I'm wary.

Mmmm, Cadbury eggs are my favorite seasonal treat. The originals are awesome, though I do love the caramel ones too. Never thought about eating them with a spoon, though, that is a great idea! So is freezing them for later in the year. *plots*
