You're right - that does explain much. INTP here, certified to administer and interpret the MBTI...

Srsly, if you ever have a trong desire to discuss MBTI typing and its interpretations, let me know.

Huh... May I pick your brain sometime about INFJs? (Or more percisely, about the typing and it's interpretations, especially as pertains to INFJs. I'm not really sure how useful I find the typing to be.)

Can you be "ambidextrous" on the E/I scale? I can never quite figure that one out, I keep flip-flopping back and forth!

I have read that as we grow older we tend more to the center of the scales and the extremes that we may have exhibited as children become more mellowed. Mainly this is through life experience and learning to cope with new situations. So we do tend to show both E/I and J/P traits. Not so much with the other traits, IIRC. Because those are more related to how we gather information and less on how we interact with the world.

thatpotteryguy... is that correct?

I often did, as well. But that has happened less frequently as I get older. I am just ever so slightly introverted now.

Some people don't put much stock in the Meyers-Brigg. But I have found that my ENTP classification is right on the mark in many, many ways.

Prayer for an ENTP... "Dear (Lord, Universe, Whatever) please allow me to develop the ability to concentrate on one, oh look, shiny..."
